Termite Control

In the San Francisco Bay Area, termite control is an essential component of building maintenance. Among the most debilitating forms of pest infestation, termite infestation can cause irreparable damage to timber in residences, office buildings, and other structures if not stopped in time. The two most prevalent species of termite in the Bay Area are the Subterranean termite, which lives below ground and thrives in moist conditions, and the Drywood termite, which lives above ground and nests within the wood itself, attacking timber with a moisture content of 12% or less. Since the climate and conditions in the Bay Area favor each species, both are readily abundant and cause millions of dollars worth of damage each year. You can rely on Elite Bay Area Termite to accurately determine which kind of termite is doing the damage and coming up with the best possible method of destroying the termite colony.

Termite Control Methods in the Bay Area

Elite Bay Area Termite can help you eliminate termites and other pests using a variety of techniques, we certified professionals at Elite Bay Area Termite are well trained in fumigation application and management. For those concerned with fumigation’s toxic properties and the tenting required, other forms of treatment range of non-chemical and eco-friendly products, such as: Elite Bay Area Termite’s Penetration Foam. Each method of treatment varies with regard to benefits, time to completion, and price range. The experts at Elite Bay Area Termite are able to determine the extent of infestation as well as the pest responsible for it, thus ensuring that the technique employed is the most effective for the task.

Termite Fumigation

Your home will be sealed off from the outside air using a fumigation tent. The tent creates a sealed environment which traps the fumigants allowing them to work throughout the structure. After the tent has been checked for fitment,Vikane is pumped into the structure where it will remain for 24 hours. After that time, the building is ventilated for another 24 hours. The following day your home is certified safe to re-enter the structure.

Local Termite Spot Treatment

There are many control methods available for termites. While fumigation is our primary recommendation for exterminating drywood termites, Elite Bay Area Termite employs several other less invasive secondary termite treatment options without the hassle of tent fumigation. Elite Bay Area Termite’s technicians are experts at locally treating for  drywood termites. We offer localized termite control methods for any infestation, whether it be in an apartment or condo, home or office building. After inspecting your structure, your termite technician will create a customized plan of action for the treatment of your structure.
